Déjà Vu
Back in the saddle again!

Vacation was a 10 day food coma — a great time — but a damn tasty food coma. I ate like a monster, but I couldn’t help myself with the 10 pound bags of M&M’s and Skittles, I ate mozzarella sticks twice, Riverfront BBQ joint we visited three times, the most delicious chocolate pie/cake lover I have ever had and the wieners. Oh, that’s right! There were and always will be hot dog parties in Maine! I ate my fair share of chips, gas station beef sticks and cheese, combo’s and a handful of other items like, pizza, sandwiches and even Mexican. Dear lord, I haven’t went that ham since we stopped eating ham back in February. But a pat on the back to me. For I had only one diet coke and/or pop (a.k.a soda to some) while in Maine. That’s one demon I would just rather keep kicked to the curb.

By the fourth vacation day my belly was full and I said, “The hell with it!” Pack on an extra five and get it out of your system because when you get home, woooo buddy, Jillian Michaels, cardio and abs will be in full effect - followed closely by a pretty clean and clear diet. No more beef jerky or mozzarella sticks for you!

This first week back is detox week. I bought a ton of fruits and nuts to snack on and we will eat turkey sandwiches on Flatt Outs and soup. All week. And I am not kidding. All week we will eat like birds and get our bellies back to its usual. All week.

By the end of the trip my size 6 pants and shorts still fit, so I am still ahead of the game! Back to the grind of 5k’s, sore abs and food logs.

Goodbye chocolate lover…
